American Biaxis is a subsidiary of Winpak, an industry leading film packaging manufacturer and distributor located in Winnipeg, MB. serving the North American markets.  With a new addition of the Winnipeg plant, the 60,000 sq. ft. addition houses a state of the art BOPA (Biaxially Oriented PolyAmide) film manufacturing line producing a variety of nylon high tensile strength films.

As project managers, Riverstone Projects was tasked with the design development of the new addition, all infrastructure and complete incorporation of custom state-of-the-art process and manufacturing equipment for this new line. Our scope of work entailed the selection and lead of a specialized consulting team, project 

development from green field, attending equipment design development meetings, detailed review of existing building for incorporation of new manufacturing line, access and maintenance allowances, new addition, upgrade and renovation of existing building, coordination of infrastructure related to equipment operations and structural design.  

In addition to these specialized services, standard project management duties such as project budgeting, building design development, tendering, on site construction administration and supervision, scheduling and reporting were provided for this expedited 36 month project.
